Future Sport Horse Show

The Future Sport Horse classes will be held in the 200' x 100' indoor arena with GGT footing at the beautiful Shenanigans Stables. Each horse will have a scheduled time where they will be individually evaluated.
Details:
• Open to horses & ponies of all breeds, disciplines, and age (yearlings and up) to evaluate the horse’s potential as a Future Sport Horse.
• Horses will be handled and evaluated by professional handlers and a nationally accredited young horse judge.
• A low key atmosphere for a positive off farm experience for youngsters, OTTB’s and more.
• In Hand & Liberty class will evaluate the horse’s conformation, movement, athleticism and character
• The Jump Chute will evaluate the quality of the canter, jumping technique and form as well as bravery and ability to assess the exercise and make adjustments as needed.
• Entries and stabling will be LIMITED

Casual. Must wear helmets when handling youngsters
Coggins to be uploaded the the SGF site. Good for the whole season or until coggins expires. See the link under Quick Links
Full refund before closing date less $25 office fee. After closing date only if spot can be filled from the wait list.
Release forms are required both Stone Gate Farm and Shenanigans for anyone who is going to be on the grounds. The link to the SGF can be found under quick links. The Shenanigans waiver will be at the farm.

Parking is limited. Please see the parking map under Quick Links. Please use caution when entering and leaving the farm as the drive is one way.

Limited to 14 horses. Small paddocks are available.
Volunteers would be appreciated. The sign up link is under quick links, It will be listed as the Winona Horse Trials. When you get to the link, click on Event Days and then click on Friday - Future Sport Horse.

*Each Class will be pinned 1st – 6th with a high score for each age group.
*Those entries in class in the Overall Sport Horse class will be eligible for awards in classes 1 & 2.
*TIP awards for TB’s that are registered with the Jockey Club’s Thoroughbred Incentive Program.
*The Best Pony/Small Horse Award sponsored by Cool Springs Farm.
*The 'Tintin' Award to honor for the horse deemed as the most likely to be "Jr/Ammy Friendly" .
Be sure to include your horse's TIP # if he/she has one.
Presentation:
*Yearlings are to be presented in halters
*2 Year olds can be presented in halters or bridles
*3 year olds and up, bridles only
*Boots are encourages for those doing jumping but are NOT allowed for those doing the In Hand and Liberty ONLY
Competitors may hand walk horses in the competition arena and through the jump chute with NO JUMPING, before the beginning of the competition.
